The experience 'The Break' 2022, closing our first international project

We leave you here a brief summary of the 60 days we have lived with 'The Break' 2022 and the last networking event that we co-organize to say goodbye to the experience.

Written article Carlos Jonay Suárez , co -founder and responsible for digital strategy in remote villages .

Sixty days give a long way, if I start thinking about the amount of things that can be done for so many hours, it would take an eternity to write this post blog.

Two months is what has lasted the execution of the 'The Break' program, where 280 entrepreneurs from many European Union countries have come to Spain to live a unique experience.

For our part, and as I anticipated in the article: 'Closing the first stage of' The Break '2022' , we have lived all this experience from the municipality of Agaete, on the island of Gran Canaria.

But as I did in the previous article, I would like to start at the end of the experience that we live between November 3 and 28, or rather, talking about the Women Entrepreneur International Networking (second edition) that co -We organize together with Proexca in the Coworking space hashtag workspace .

Representing international and local female talent

If something works why not repeat it? That was what we consider at the time of co-organizing the Women Entrepreneur International Networking event (second edition) . There were such good feelings that the first generated and so many things that remained in the inkwell, that we wanted to repeat formula, with some changes, yes, to continue supporting and enhancing female entrepreneurship.

One of the first changes came through the scenario of the event, which this time was the coworking space hashtag workspace , where again, we feel at home.

The event once again had two panels, but both the public, as the themes were different.

Within the first panel: Canary Islands: The Best Recusation to Foster Female Entrepreneurship? - In which they intervened:

We focus on the importance of the Canary Islands as a destination to promote female entrepreneurship, what are the programs that these institutions are underway, or parallel committed, and in solving the doubts of the attendees.

With the second panel: Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs Stories - in which they intervened:

We were able to meet the stories of these entrepreneurs, and the challenges are faced all of them, in a relaxed way and with a good vibes.

Supporting local growth

Within the event, a space for the creation and contribution of value ideas could not be missing.

In hashtag coworking we also had four work tables with two main themes:

  • How Can We Foster More Collaboration Between The Different Women Entrepreneur Communities from The Canary Islands?

  • How can the Community Support More Women to Internationalize their Businesses?

After forty -five minutes of intense work and debate, a representative of each group presented the main conclusions from the stage.

Of course, we could not say goodbye to the event without our 'Finish' photo and without our Networking moment, accompanied by a rich peck by the hashtag coworking team.

We take this moment, to thank again for all the people who made this event possible:

  • Sonia Siemens (Proexca)

  • Guillermo Quintana Ramos (SPEGC)

  • Clarissa Pierobon (ITC)

  • Kim de Coster (Slow & Co)

  • Amparo Fuentes (hashtag coworking)

  • Maria Butler, (Cactus Coliving)

  • Ulrike Güse (Ulita's Loom)

  • Heiko Schäfer ('Breaker' of Honor)

  • Sara Picazo

  • To all our breakers: Martina, Lucy, Marta, Lena, Rebecca, Rosa, Rosana, María, Mechthild, Sara and Letizia.

  • To all those people who helped us spread the event and that will reach the maximum possible number of people.

See you soon?

If we started this experience with the occasional question, the closure was not going to be different.

To capture here everything lived for sixty days would be very complicated, I think that even with a maximum moment of inspiration, it would be almost impossible of Gon) is that it has been a very intense experience, while beautiful, and that it will be something that we will always take with us, along with a lot of wonderful people that we have met along the way, of course.

The future? Well, who knows, we are going to follow one hundred percent with our experiences and leading to connected rurality wherever we go, that is something that we are clear about one hundred percent. Everything else will be work and decisions that we will have to take along the way.

To close, I would like to thank again, this time to all those people (and in a slightly more general way) who have made living all this possible and, above all, much easier:

  • Thanks to each and every one of our breakers, for sharing, for helping and living this experience.

  • Thanks to the Impact Hub team - 'The Break', for the currazo they have hit.

  • Thanks to the rest of 'Host Organizations', for supporting and sharing throughout the experience.

  • Thanks to the repeate team, for offering us the possibility of doing this in a sensational space and in a magical corner like Agaete.

  • Thank you, infinite, to everyone every one of our mentors, for giving everything and being at the foot of the canyon with each of the girls.

  • Thanks to all the collection that joined our sessions, dinners and shared moments.

  • Thanks to the local community, for its involvement and for making us feel more at home.

  • Thanks to each and every one of the sponsors: Proexca, Spegc, Best in Gran Canaria, Aider and the City of Agaete, which supported us in this adventure.

  • Thanks to all the friends who have helped us and supported us so that not only 'The Break', if not pueblos remotos, grow 'day by day.

I take the opportunity to thank Elsa and Gon, with you all this has been much easier and I have felt in family during all these days that we have lived together.

For everything else, I can only say ... see you soon!
