The Treasury of Queen magnifying glass - Carnota pueblos remotos

Through this post post, José Miguel Barrantes tells us his vision on how he lived Carnota Pueblos Remotos along with the rest of the Restiños and the magical environment of this corner of Costa da Morte.

The tradition wanted the "field" of stars to guide the designs of the apostle Santiago to the pedro, the Roman Ara dedicated to Neptune, the god of the seas. Then it would come, how could it be otherwise, the scatter or pecten Jacobaeus , unavailable to the pilgrim's edge since the goddess Venus bequeathed her gifts to this Bivalvo turned into a symbol of the Xacobean route. And, between them, a less known but equally known story that seasoned the sacred story of Santiago with profane touches. A pagan story in which the real and the imaginary merge into a dream hug that transports us to a governed kingdom by which many believe a divinity of the Celtic Olympus, Queen magnifying glass ...

It was beginning to emerge the month of May at the City Council of Carnota when an unexpected fact came to disturb the routine tranquility of the people of these parts. The omnipresent toxos of this extraordinary land, blessed by the honey of the garden of the Hesperides, bristled their spiny retam in alert signal while the fogs descended from the cusp of the mountains to make an appearance in the events. It was a rainy day, nothing weird, but the winds of the north shook the yermas slopes of Monte Pindo and the horizon line was vaguely distinguished, disturbing the senses.

Little by little, winding between granaries and secular stone houses, vehicles appeared in the direction of Panchas village. The trajin was incessant, although spacing in time, and the roar of the engines tracing the slopes spread through the troughs several hundred meters. There was no doubt that something was happening. An old woman, strangely although well avenue, looked through the door lintel trying to scrutinize what was happening in the andurrials.

Meanwhile, in the upper part of Panchés, in a place called Aldea Soma, people from the most diverse origins were arriving. The jubilation and excitement were the predominant note, as if they had all known for five years and reunite the years again. Some spoke excited, the others nodded and responded equally moved, and the tones of the voices were modulated in a crescendo that had nothing to envy to the most energetic fragments of Beethoven's ninth symphony. Thus, to the heat of the conversation, the feelings were whistling suggestive melodies until well into the night, as if it were the sirens of Odysseus, creating a kind of balm of Fierabrás of which they would drink for the next three weeks until the drunkenness of the spirit of the spirit of the spirit of the spirit ...

This is the preface to the history of Pueblos Remotos in Carnota, a corner of the Costa da Morte who managed to bewitch all the members of this rural adventure capable of spelling the most seasoned draws of the magic of life. A story in which Finisterre was not final, but the beginning; in which the home of "Porto" did not turn out to be a shelter of sailors but a set of clay teacher; in which in the pots do not germinate flowers but ideas; in which the fish are not fish but thought, inspiring the souls of the youngest; in which Ali Babá does not shout "Over, Sesame!" But "Save yourself, ocean!"; And in which everything that happens is irremediable and magnificently captured by the best of remedies ...

Legend tells that the magnifying glass ruled the lands where the boat that carried the body of the apostle Santiago and that lived in the castle of San Xurxo, on Mount Pindo. After his death, as he narrates, she was buried on top of the mountain, under Moa, the great rocky mole with a dams that crowns him, along with a great treasure defended by stone giants. Many have been tempted to look for it and none of the luck to find it although, they say the remote languages that, one May night, during the full moon, many found the true treasure of Queen magnifying glass ...

Carnota remote villages has been a life experience ... Ceci, Kino, Toño, Petra, Gabri, Lupe, Josep, Tomás, Carlos, Elsa, Javi, José Miguel ... surely no one among the people who have been directly part of this coliving -both participants and local leaders -, we could imagine the magnitude of what they were going to mean the three weeks of coexistence in this unique place in the unique place of the Costa. And we say "directly formed" by a simple formal issue, because nothing would have been the same without other unforgettable people in the area that we feel as a fundamental part of this precious adventure in Galicia , to the point of having created a large family of "remoteñ@s" (for that of the Galician).

The first days they already left us mark. That first sunset in Aldea Soma -our coliving and coworking , located in the town of Panchés -, the moments of the symbolic collection of garbage on the beach, that magical sunset at the end of Finisterre ... and, also from the Home, the immersion in the local development challenge "Carnota connects", designed and promoted by a group of students of 4th of the IES Lamas de Castelo Under the baton of Javier Boquete, expert in entrepreneurship and marketing, in love with Carnota and the person who has served as a guide and master key in our immersion in the territory in this edition of remote villages.

In between the workshops came with local entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs. The Linoleum engraving workshop in A Moteta (walls), the multifunctional and creative space of the architect Alba Fernández, where we create a mural with our particular selection of the seven herbs of San Juan; The visit to the workshop in Cornido de Nacho Porto, the great ceramist who introduced us to his art through the decoration of porcelain dishes; or the artistic reuse workshop of garbage found on the beach with Ali Vavá, by the hand of the masterful artist Alicia Vázquez and Sven, one of the most important figures of the recovery of the coast of the Costa da Morte after the disaster of the prestige . Precisely in this workshop we create, in a joint and collaborative way, a giant fish that would become one of the symbols of our stay in Carnota and that, in a public act of presentation of the "Carnota connects" project, we deliver as a gift to the IES Lamas from Castelo.

To all this the pills of Skill Sharing coworking space , the Pilates classes of Nerea Astorga, the family dinners who ended up mutating Family Lunchs , that barbecue at sunset, the walks along the beach, visits to local restaurants to taste local gastronomy, the morning of coworking in a pot, From the Costa da Morte in the Stoup space, the magical ascents to Mount Pindo, the festivities of Nosa Mrs. Dos Remedios Velos de Lira, the emotional feedback in Boca do Río or the multiple excursions to reverie places such as the Castro of Baroña, the forest and the Castro of Mallou, the Mount Louro, the Bico do Santo ... All this shared with wonderful people who inhabit this corner of Galicia : Ali, Sven, Nerea, Marcelo, Ramón, Stefania, Alba ... and, of course, those who make up the Remedia Márketing Agency!, Nuria, Santi and Alba that, with their beautiful look and professionalism they have perfectly reflected everything that lived during the three weeks in Carnota remote villages, in addition to giving us their sympathy and transmitting their values and love for their land.

And like every story story he has a gold brooch for memory, one of the last nights presented us with an incredible full moon ... we do not know if it was the spell of the one that prepared us Gabri, our multifaceted Galician, the spell Reflection of the moonlight on the waters of the ocean from a Peñasco del Camiño two sides or the ritual that Elsa had reserved for us when reaching that Point, which made, in a very peculiar way, our desires towards the starry sky, but there was some kind of enchantment that definitely caught us and forever joined this beautiful place called Carnota.

Carlos, Elsa, thank you for having made all this possible ...
