Teleworking and digital nomadism are two trends that have provided us with a common and universal benefit: the power to travel, discovering the world and fulfilling professional tasks.

After a year and a half, a pandemic and a redistribution of work modes, it has been discovered that teleworking and time flexibility are two terms that have democratized and popularized. In the middle of 2020, we all open the computers and begin to perform our work with different communication and work platforms, such as Google Drive, Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Discord, among others. The use of these software programs in a single device caused the pandemic to finish, we discovered how overvalued the offices were.

Although this trend, settled in Spain, seems, first, that it was not going to last long, it turns Workplace is where their passage marks them. The following data reflect this paradigm shift in remote work: Spain has gone from having 4.8% of its employed population teleworking, before March 2020, approximately 11% of it today (through a 33% peak during the confinement period of 2020) [Sources: Bank of Spain, INE and others].

According to an article from the Tecnohotel portal, these work policies were pioneers in “Young” or “Millenials” companies, where they understand that these modalities improve employees' conditions in an abysmal way. There are different scientific studies that indicate how productivity indices, mental health and even, of the reconciliation of the personal and work are highly improved and compensated. For example, productivity improves 13% to 22%, according to a study by Standford University.

A survey, which was commissioned by the Airbnb accommodation company, in six countries, shows us how newcomers to the labor market are the adults that spend the longest teleworking, but there is a higher percentage of another age range in the population (35 and 44 years) who work at full -time distance.

Appointed the pandemic context, it should be noted that one of the motivations of this fashion is the desire to travel again after confinement.

The big companies opted for the return of trips with more force than ever, with a main reason: the reactivation of the business and local economy, especially of places fed by tourism, such as the Canary Islands.

So the remote village project, opted for this editorial line for the first pilot and now, for old remote, which begins today.

Creating work routines in different places in a landscape has clear and express benefits for the population that can enjoy this opportunity. Next we will expose them:
