Generating links with the rural one, the return of José Miguel to Carnota

We have a new post blog to bring you an interview with Jose Miguel and his return to Carnota within it tells us that he has motivated him to return and how he sees the experience he lived almost a year later.

José Miguel participated in Carnota remote villages , our first three -week experience in the Iberian Peninsula. He did it together with 9 other colleagues and lived first -hand the experience of rurality connected in a magical environment, Carnota's City Council, Costa da Morte, Galicia .

Almost a year after living that experience, I talked to him to ask him how he currently sees the project (pueblos remotos), and know why he decided to move to Living in Carnota for an unprivaid season.

The result is what you can read below:

  1. Carlos: A few months have passed since Carnota remote villages, with everything more matured, and with some time since the program ended, what feeling do you have with respect to it?

José Miguel: I feel a great thanks for everything that has meant for me remote peoples, both in the weeks that the program lasted and in all the time that has elapsed since then. He has given me the opportunity, not only to meet extraordinary people, but to start a new lifestyle.

  1. Carlos: In this same line, how is your relationship in the “day to day” with the other participants (teleworkors)?

José Miguel: With some I see myself very often and with others, due to the distance, we have seen only occasionally since the program ended, although with those who are farther away I have maintained the link through the phone. Very strong ties were created among all the people who are part of the experience of remote peoples in Carnota.

  1. Carlos: And with local entrepreneurs?

José Miguel: I have been fortunate to be able to maintain close contact with everyone and with some of them I have a great friendship.

  1. Carlos: How "connected" do you feel with the project (remote villages)?

José Miguel: I feel part of remote villages.

  1. Carlos: 3 months after finishing Carnota remote villages, you decided to return to the municipality to telework, and live, from it. What was your main motivation to return?

José Miguel: My main motivation were the people I met during the experience of remote villages, the community that formed. Then, changing the lifestyle trying to live in a rural environment.

  1. Carlos: How is the experience as a teleworkor from Carnota? Do you see the municipality prepared to attract profiles like yours?

José Miguel: My experience is being very good and I'm glad I made. Yes, the municipality is prepared to attract and welcome teleworkors who want to live the experience.

  1. Carlos: Have you continued connected to the local challenge or with the challenges/projects of any of the local actors?

José Miguel: Yes, in fact I have been able to relive some of them several times.

  1. Carlos: Do you have in mind to participate again in any future edition of remote villages?

José Miguel: For now not because I am still immersed in discovering the new life in the municipality of Carnota, but of course I would always love to return to a new edition of remote villages.

For us, from pueblos remotos, having these indicators is very positive, since it shows that our experiences serve to generate ties with the territory, and with the people who inhabit it, in a powerful and lasting way.

Therefore, we will continue to bet on organizing and implementing projects that continue adding to rural territories.
