Remote Villages Antigua 2021 was our second project, which we carried out between November 12 and December 3, 2021.

With this initiative, we managed to attract 8 remote workers, and 1 mentor, to the municipality of Antigua (Fuerteventura) and they will collaborate, through co-created activities and challenges, with 6 local actors (entrepreneurs and businessmen)

The result was a resounding success in terms of connecting teleworkers, socio-economic impact on the municipality, as well as generating new sustainable initiatives.

Among the impacts that occurred in Antigua Remoto, we can highlight the following:

Challenges: Of the 20 challenges posed, 17 were solved and 16 new solutions were proposed.
An average of 5 teleworkers were involved with each of the local actors
A direct economic impact was generated among the main and secondary local actors. 56% of the contribution went to the main actors (local entrepreneurs), 30% to other secondary actors (communication, audiovisual, suppliers, etc.), and the remaining 14% had a direct impact on the municipality of Antigua (restaurants, shops, etc.)
Five new tourism products were created.
Synergies were developed among the local actors, who have shown great interest in staying in contact with each other through monthly meetings.
In terms of communication, 10 articles were published in the print media, 1 radio interview, 2 television interviews, as well as participation in 5 international and national conferences
