A few hours after the end of 2021, it is time to stop and reflect on everything lived, and learned, this year full of uncertainty. When these dates arrive, I have the habit of reviewing the objectives that I set out at the beginning of the year and to do a retrospection exercise about everything I got, how I felt and if I could have improved something.
The idea is to start the new year with a blank sheet that we can fill with purposes, dreams and, ultimately, new objectives that help us focus on what really is passionate about any aspect of our life. Just this week, there were two occasions that inspired me to write this article about the importance of putting passion to life .
The first occurred by reviewing the testimonies of ancient participants. I felt very reflected in what José Navarro said when I talked about the activity we had with The Animal Academy , one of the local projects with which we collaborated:
>
“The experience has been spectacular, knowing both Julio and Belén [the founders], the passion they convey with what they are doing is an example for all who are entrepreneurs. When you undertake from what you are passionate about, even if you find many difficulties, you are always able to find solutions to move on ”
This is applicable to each of the local actors with whom we collaborate from pueblos remotos. The first thing that always attracts us from them and inspires us is their passion for what they do and how they transmit it to us. That passion is contagious and fills you with energy, so you know, it is highly recommended to surround yourself with passionate entrepreneurs 😉
Old Remote Participants being happy
The second occasion was listening to the podcast has no name , where Enric, one of its members, asked the following questions to his other two companions:
>
“Do you think someone can be good in something that does not passionate? Can you do something throughout life without passion? "
You can have skills and develop a good job (without passion), but that does not mean that these people are happy, they are "gray" people, as they comment on the podcast. Passion is an attitude and when we do something without it, we are failing ourselves. It is true that many times it is very difficult to find the passion that moves it, there are people who take a lifetime, or even find what fills them. This is surely because they do not put enough effort, they do not want to take risks out of their comfort zone, or simply because they have not even raised it.
Uniting all these ingredients, I can only think: how lucky I have to have found what I love and above all to dedicate myself to it! Of course, it took years to do it, I said enough, I made decisions that changed my course several times, chasing what I really wanted, and here I am undertaking (if they tell me 5 years ago, I would not have believed it) Thanks to I found my passion in remote villages: the sum of sustainable tourism, rural development and teleworking.

Now my question is for you:
>
“Are you dedicating your time and energy to what really is passionate about? Because if not, it's your turn to reflect. Don't let your life escape without putting the passion you deserve. "
